Companies
choosing to hire a foreign national must consider the following:
So far as the law is concerned, there are only two kinds of
foreign nationals; immigrants and non-immigrants. Immigrants
are those who are applying to reside permanently in the United
States. Non-immigrants are those applying to reside or work
in the United States on a temporary basis.
Because the immigrant procedure is lengthy and involved, most
employers first choose to obtain a non-immigrant "working
visa" for their foreign national hires.
